However, as demands and technology in this sector continue to evolve at pace, HSE needed a way to segment its visual brand—creating clarity and focus for different audiences with very different needs.

Whether speaking to eco-conscious homeowners, tech-savvy early adopters, or partners in the energy sector, the brand had to flex while staying recognisably ‘HSE’. This meant evolving the identity to be more versatile, building in a visual system that could adapt without losing its brand message. It wasn’t just about looking good—it was about creating structure, clarity, and connection across every touchpoint.

Energising the brand
The Powermark captures the essence of sustainability, forward-thinking, and energy in motion. Its dynamic arrows subtly form a lightning bolt in its negative space, nodding to power and innovation while also echoing the familiar feel of a recycling symbol. This structure not only reinforces the brand’s commitment to renewable energy but also creates a device to showcase key messages. It becomes a flexible visual device that’s also visible in a refined logotype, helping tell a story of innovation, impact, and a fresh perspective on energy for both residential and commercial customers.

HSEnergy’s brand sits at the heart of everything they do, from how they support customers to how they develop new products. Our job was to make sure their brand looked and felt the part, not just for one part of the business but across the whole group. The new visual system gives them the tools to speak to different audiences in a way that actually connects.
